The price is set per certification body
We have no price list to point at, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. The price depends on how many auditors you have and how much you audit. Here is the logic behind it, so you know what to ask for.
One agreement per certification body
PART is sold to certification bodies, not to individual auditors and not to certified companies. A certification body signs the agreement, gets its own environment and then sets up its auditors and its clients in it.
The price has two parts: a running licence that follows the size of the operation, and a start-up that depends on how much has to be adapted before you go live. A body with ten auditors and one standard does not pay the same as one with a hundred auditors and eight.
Your certified clients pay nothing for their accounts. They are part of what we deliver to you.
Three things we ask about before we calculate
If you have the answers to these three, we can quote after a walkthrough.
How many auditors
The number of people working in the system is the single largest factor. Count both permanent staff and the subcontractors you use regularly.
How many audits a year
Volume tells us what the system has to carry. A body with many small assignments has different needs from one with few and large.
How much has to be adapted
Process templates, report templates and any migration of earlier material decide the start-up. The closer your existing templates sit to the standard setup, the less that part costs.
What belongs to what
The table below shows how a delivery is normally split between the running licence, the start-up and items priced separately. It is a frame, not an agreement: exactly what is included in your case is set out in the quote.
If you want a figure to work with, say so early. We would rather give you a number you can build a budget on than a range that means nothing.
How the delivery is split
| Part of the delivery | Belongs to |
|---|---|
| Access to PART for your auditors | The licence |
| Your own address and environment | The licence |
| Your logo in the interface | The licence |
| The interface in six languages | The licence |
| Accounts for your certified clients | The licence |
| Hosting and ongoing maintenance | The licence |
| Setting up process templates | The start-up |
| Adapting report templates | The start-up |
| Training your auditors | The start-up |
| Migrating earlier audit material | Quoted case by case |
| Integration with your other systems | Quoted case by case |
Questions about price
Why are there no figures here?
Because a figure without your volume and your templates would be a guess. We calculate after a walkthrough that takes half an hour, and then the number stands for something.
Can we start small?
Yes. Most start with a couple of audits and a smaller group of auditors. The agreement can follow that pace instead of assuming a full rollout from day one.
Do our certified clients pay anything?
No. Their accounts are part of what we deliver to you, and they have no agreement with us.
What should we bring to the quote meeting?
The number of auditors, roughly how many audits a year, which standards you certify against and one of your existing audit reports.
